The Temple of Zeus

Intro: Temple of the Olympian's God's king, Zeus, the father of Athena. Started to build in the 6th century BC, completed by Hadrian the Roman Emperor in 131 AD. 16 from the 104 Corinthian Columns remain today.

Intro: The Zappeion's Hall is referred to Evangelis Zappas, a key Benefactor of the Olympic revival, funded the creation of Zappeion Hall, designed by Theophil Hansen. Originally built for Olympic ceremonies, it later transformed into a hub for Art exhibitions, conventions, and fashion shows, continuing its legacy as a space for culture and creativity.

Intro: In front of the stately neoclassical facade of Zappeion Hall, nestled beside the National Garden, two athletes --man and woman --performed the sacred Olympic exchange. The woman offered an olive branch, symbol of peace and renewal, while the man received the torch, bearer of unity and flame. Their gesture, framed by the marble columns of Zappeion, echoed the timeless ideals of the Games: Harmony, strength, and shared purpose.
The Elliniki Vouli
Intro: The Hellenic Parliament ( Vouli ton Ellinon) stands as the foundation of Greece's democratic governance. Situated in the historic Vouli building in Syntagma square (Constitution square). The Neoclassical structure was originally built as royal palace in the 19th century. Today, it houses the legislative body that represents the will of the Greek people. The Vouli is also well known for the Ceremonial Changing Guards, "the Evzones", in front of the Unknown Soldier.

The Facade of The Academy of Athens

National Kapodistria University
The Kapodistrian University's building is located in the center of Athens Trilogy, centered Propylaea with two sides, and five statues of Greek national heroes on front.
Intro: Kapodistrias' phrase "Δραχξασθε παιδειας" wasn't just about education. It symbolized Greece's rebirth and intellectual awakening. At the time, Greece was emerging as an independent nation, and knowledge was its strongest weapon against ignorance and oppression. The Kapodistrian University was founded on May3, 1837, and officially opened in 1860.It's Central building, designed by Danish Architect Christian Hansen, remain a landmark of a Neoclassical architecture in Athens.
